💡 Novelty & Significance:
Hydridoborate/oxide nanocomposites achieve 3–4 orders of magnitude higher ionic conductivity via interface engineering, enabling room-temperature all-solid-state batteries. Spectroscopic studies reveal B–O bond formation and weakened M–BH4 bonds as key mechanisms. This approach yields electrochemically stable, high-capacity solid electrolytes, particularly [B12H12]2– compounds compatible with high-voltage cathodes, advancing safe, high-energy-density battery technology.
