MAMDANI DEFIES CALLS TO SACK ZIONIST POLICE CHIEF

The Democratic Socialist of America, Palestinian Youth Movement, and other groups have demanded NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani fire Police Comissionar Jessica Tisch for a number of reasons - from her deep support for Israel to her campus crackdown on pro Palestinian activists as well as racial profiling.

Mamdani has confirmed he will not be firing her.

It is typical of a New York City Mayor to change police commissioners to reflect the incoming administration’s policies, making Mamdani an outlier.
