Introducing Infinity: Model and Harness Built for Traders

The most common assumption about AI is that intelligence is what matters most. The smarter the model, the better the answers. For trading, we think that assumption is wrong, or at least incomplete.

A good AI is not the one with the most raw intelligence. It's the one with access to the best tools. Ask the smartest general-purpose LLM why a token sold off this morning and it will reason carefully from information that is months old.

Markets make this unusually stark. Trading is more about information than pure intelligence. Edge comes from seeing the unlock schedule, the filing, or the flow before it gets priced in. A model that cannot see those things can only describe markets in general terms, which is why most AI trading products feel like the same product: familiar lagging indicators wrapped in a chat interface, with the conversation standing in for insight.

We built Infinity from the opposite starting point. Instead of asking how smart we could make a model, we asked what a model would need to see to be genuinely useful to a trader, and then we built the retrieval and orchestration infrastructure to let it see all of it.

A model that understands trading, not just charts

Infinity pairs a frontier-class reasoning model, post-trained on publicly available on-chain trade data from Hyperliquid, with a purpose-built agentic harness that connects to 16 live data sources, including Coinglass, CoinGecko, and Nansen, and fuses them into a single normalized research view. Real-time macro and news sentiment streams sit alongside derivatives, on-chain, and fundamental data in the same context.
When you ask Infinity a question, a planner model running on our own GPU infrastructure performs query decomposition in real time: it classifies the question, decides which data sources it requires, and dispatches structured tool calls in parallel rather than dumping every feed into context. The retrieved results are grounded with citations you can verify yourself, so every claim traces back to a source rather than to the model's priors.

Under the hood, data arrives through two latency tiers. Anything that moves tick by tick, such as funding rates, open interest, liquidations, and exchange inflows and outflows, is fetched live at query time through direct API connections. Slower-moving unstructured data, such as news, filings, and research, flows through a streaming ingestion pipeline that indexes fresh documents every hour.

The result is behavior that feels categorically different from a chatbot. Ask Infinity about a token and it checks the unlock schedule. Ask about an earnings move and it reads the filing. It works less like a chatbot with opinions and more like an analyst with a live terminal, because structurally that is what it is: a capable reasoning engine wired into the data traders actually depend on.

This is also why Infinity improves in a way that a frozen model cannot. Intelligence improves in step changes, but tooling compounds. Every new data source, every refinement to the planner's routing accuracy, and every hour of fresh ingestion widens the gap between what Infinity can see and what a general-purpose model can. The model is a component. The harness is the product.

Based is distributing ~$50,000 in creator rewards across two tracks for Based Alpha on Robinhood Chain.

1. Main Pool: $30,000 in USDG

Rewards will be allocated pro rata, based on each qualifying token’s total trading volume relative to all qualifying tokens during the campaign period.

To qualify, a token must:

• Graduate from its bonding curve during the campaign period;
• Have at least 20 unique holders at the moment of graduation (excluding the bonding curve contract, liquidity pool, and deployer);
• Generate at least $300,000 in total trading volume on its graduated Alpha Liquidity Pool during the campaign period.
• Achieve at least $500k market cap for at least 24 hours
• Campaign period: 21 July 00:00 UTC to 3 August 23:59 UTC.

Rewards will be sent in USDG to the deployer wallet of each qualifying token.

2. RWA Bonus Track: $20,000

Robinhood Chain is built for RWAs, not just memes, and we want to reward innovation beyond them. We have set aside an additional $20,000 in $BASED tokens (230,000 BASED at a ~$0.088 reference price) for projects with an innovative use case that incorporate Robinhood Stock Tokens.

To qualify, a project’s Alpha Liquidity Pools must generate at least $300,000 in total trading volume during the campaign period.

We have completed the patch for a mechanics issue on Based Alpha that was discovered yesterday. The issue affected 23 pre-bonded tokens that graduated between 18:00 and 21:00 UTC on 18 July 2026.

Testing is complete and monitoring continues. Token creation on Based Alpha has been re-enabled, and creators can start launching coins again.

The issue was isolated to Based Alpha, our newly launched product on Robinhood Chain. All other Based products, including the Based App, trading terminal, and Visa Card, were never affected.

As promised, every affected user will be made whole. We reconstructed the state of all 23 affected curves at the block immediately before the issue. Each curve held a real, finite pool of ETH backing its token. Compensation is based on each wallet's pro-rata share of that actual pre-issue ETH backing, distributed by token balance. This means every affected user receives their exact share of the real ETH that was held on the curve.

On top of this, we are adding a 50% bonus for compensation. If your share of the backing before the issue was 0.1 ETH, 0.15 ETH has been sent directly to your address. No claim is required.

Thank you for your patience. Based Alpha is in rapid development. We need to build fast to win in this market. If you spot a bug, tell us as soon as possible. As a token of gratitude, we have awarded a bounty to the first person who reported this one.

We remain committed to growing Based Alpha. Over the last 24 hours the team focused on security, testing across every area of the app.

Earlier today we identified a bug in the graduation mechanism on Based Alpha, our new product launched on Robinhood this week. The issue was caused by bid-side graduation liquidity, which was meant to cushion sells and create tokens with better support.
Someone took advantage of this mechanism. It was used against 23 tokens across two blocks before we contained it.

We contained the issue and disabled the affected flow within the hour. The total loss from this incident is contained at less than 5 ETH. A permanent fix and an independent review are underway and will be completed within the next 24 hours.

Every affected user will be made whole. We have reconstructed the affected users on-chain and will publish the compensation details and timeline shortly.

Tokens that graduated before 18 July, 6 PM GMT are not affected.

All other Based products, such as the Based App and Visa Card, are fully operational and were never affected.
