😴 Can't sleep?
If you wake up in the night, toss and turn, or have trouble falling asleep, it's often not because of your pillow. It's because of an overstimulated nervous system.
For falling asleep - try listening to "red noise".
💡 Red noise is a special type of sound, similar to a deep, soft hum:
like distant thunder, ocean noise, or distant rain.
🔬 How red noise is good for sleep:
- 📉 Reduces anxiety before bedtime
- ⏱️ Helps you fall asleep faster
- 🌙 Deepens the slow-wave sleep phases - the very phases in which the body recovers
- 🔁 Reduces the number of awakenings, especially for those who are sensitive to sound
🎧 How to use:
- Turn on 10-20 minutes before bedtime
- Use headphones or speaker in a quiet room
- Doesn't have to be on all night - there is an effect even with brief listening.
Examples of melodies: low-frequency thunderstorm, ocean rumble, deep rain noise - can be found via search engine or in sleep apps
