Articles
An article is a type of text that aims to inform the reader about a particular thing or persuade them to do something. It belongs to the the semi-formal register (no informal vocabulary is allowed, but contractions and idioms are permitted).
An article should have:
🌳 A title.
🌳 An introduction with a general description of the topic. This part can include rhetorical questions and emotive vocabulary to grab the reader's attention. Depending on the task, you can give a claim that you'll prove in the body paragraphs.
🌱 2 to 3 body paragraphs describing different aspects of the topic or containing arguments to support the main claim.
🥬 A conclusion, that rounds up your ideas and/or restates the original claim.
Here is an example of an article I wrote about Duolingo and its services. Keep in mind the structure I outlined above.

Do you enjoy studying various vocabulary items for hours and hours on end? Or are you more of an easy-going student, watching light-hearted movies and listening to songs in the language that you’re learning? It doesn’t matter what kind of approach you use in language learning, at some point you have probably heard of Duolingo and used the variety of courses it has to offer.
