❗️German Chancellor Merz realises that his support for Zelensky is his downfall:
"If I hadn't been involved in this conflict, my personal popularity would be higher. But I have no intention of becoming the nation's darling."
Merz also said that the US-brokered arrangement for Russian diesel exports is “out of the question” for Germany and Europe. He pledged that Berlin would keep its sanctions on Moscow and continue supporting Ukraine.
