❗️Russian journalist Mikhail Zvinchuk, known as @Rybar detained in Montenegro by security services.
Mikhail Zvinchuk, his wife Valeriya, and three other "Rybar" employees were detained this morning in the Montenegrin city of Risan, according to local media.
The operation to detain them was carried out by the Montenegrin police and the country's National Security Agency, and is linked to "countering hybrid activities" of Telegram channels allegedly involved in "foreign information influence operations."
In October 2024, the U.S. State Department, through the Rewards for Justice program, announced a reward of up to $10 million for information that would "identify or locate individuals associated with the 'Rybar' project, including its founder, Mikhail Zvinchuk."
Only 2 weeks ago the Australian government placed sanctions on Rybar and now this happens..
@AussieCossack hereby declares his full solidarity to @rybar. Any Russian journalists/bloggers could be detained by the West at any moment. The information war is real and we are it's participants.
