👀 CHINESE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ACCUSED OF $5M REFUND SCAM

A Sydney-based international student has been charged by the AFP after allegedly exploiting Australia's Tourist Refund Scheme to fraudulently claim more than $5 million in GST refunds.

Police allege the 28-year-old made more than 20 trips to China in just four months, using luxury and counterfeit watches to lodge false refund claims at Sydney Airport.
