A Western Australian gold mine worker has been jailed for two years and 10 months after helping steal more than $380,000 worth of gold nuggets from his employer over an 18-month period.

Harley-David Charlton sold 4.3kg of stolen gold for more than $225,000 in cash before a $37,000 NAB deposit triggered an investigation that uncovered the scheme.
