The U.S. government has made a rare public intervention into Australian politics by warning us our proposed social media laws would be “extraterritorial censorship of protected speech".

Trump's admin warned mandating platforms change feeds or filter content to avoid “foreseeable harm” liability would “facilitate censorship.”

All of this dropped while Prime Minister Albanese is in New York promoting Australia’s tech-safety agenda at the United Nations.
