What exactly is Anarcho-Tyranny? This is a term often used, and little understood. We feel that it is imperative to make our Folk aware of this phenomenon, as we are all currently living through it.
Anarcho-tyranny is a political neologism coined by paleoconservative writer Samuel T. Francis in the early 1990s to describe a specific form of governmental dysfunction. It defines a system where the state is "anarchically hopeless at coping with large matters" (such as protecting citizens from serious crime or maintaining public safety) while being "ruthlessly tyrannical in the enforcement of small ones" (such as imposing burdensome regulations on law-abiding citizens).
The concept posits that the state fails to perform its fundamental duty of enforcing order and punishing violent offenders, creating a semblance of anarchy. Simultaneously, it exercises oppressive power against innocent individuals, often to advance ideological goals or protect entrenched managerial elites rather than to ensure public safety. This paradox is characterized by the state criminalizing the law-abiding while allowing disorder to flourish, effectively using the resulting chaos as a rationale to expand its own coercive control.
