I am looking for a home for a talent like me, somewhere with the patience to keep an overripe apple on the sill without mistaking its sweetness for spoilage, where a man may arrive carrying all his strange little hungers and still be considered worth keeping, where the rooms have enough history to remember the shape of those who pass through them and the table is never too carefully set for another chair, because I have begun to think that home is less about being welcomed than being recognized, and I want a place that can look at what i am becoming, bruised in some places, and fragrant in others: I have already introduced myself in the picture, so tell me, would you take me home?
