In Luke 9:56, the NIV, MSG, NLT, & HSCB remove the main reason why Jesus came to earth:

As per the KJB, Jesus came to earth to save men's lives, not to destroy them! Sadly, many modern versions, like NIV, MSG, NLT, & HSCB, attack & omit the valuable truth of why Jesus came. The bold words above are omitted by NIV, MSG, NLT, & HSCB modern versions.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
