The NIV mocks Jesus by calling him "indignant" when he was talking to the leper in Mark 1:40-41. "Indignant" = annoyance, so the NIV wants us to believe that Jesus was somehow NOT annoyed at a leper for beseeching Jesus to make him clean.

[40] And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
[41] And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

[40] A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” [41] Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”

Jesus was moved with compassion (KJB), and was not indignant (NIV), toward the leper who was beseeching Jesus to make him [the leper] clean.
