In Matthew 4:10, the Geneva version does not rebuke Satan as it does not contain the words "Get thee hence", but says "auoyde [avoid] Satan", when Jesus rebuked Satan.
Matthew 4:10 KJB
[10] Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.β

Matthew 4:10 Geneva/GNV
[10] Then sayd Iesus vnto him, Auoyde Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him onely shalt thou serue.βπ°
By not containing the words "Get thee hence," (KJB) and saying "auodye" [avoid] (Geneva) instead, the Geneva version:
π₯Does not rebuke Satan
π₯And does not imply that Satan must depart/leave from tempting Jesus and from standing by Jesus, by saying "Ayoude [avoid] Satan" (Geneva) instead of "Get thee hence, Satan" (KJB).
Note: Auodye in Middle and Older English is avoid in today's English.
Discard the Geneva version, and get, read, and believe the words of the KJB.
