In Matthew 3:2, CEB promotes unbiblical heresy of "change your hearts and lives" to get saved.

By changing "repent ye" (KJB) to  "change your hearts and lies", the CEB:

πŸ’₯Turns repentance into unbiblical works based salvationism
πŸ’₯And makes salvation dependent on us sinners and our work instead of our salvation being only dependent and only based on the work of the sinless Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ at the cross and His death and resurrection.

"Change your...lives" (CEB) is work that does not save us.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] not of works, lest any man should boast.πŸ“–

Galatians 2:16 KJB
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.πŸ“–

Discard the CEB and get, read, and believe the KJB and its words.

Note: CEB stands for Common English Bible which is a corrupt modern version.
