β In verse 6, "The wordes of the LORD are pure wordes" is present tense ("are" =a present term word) & means the LORD God's words are always pure.
β In verse 6, "purified seven times" compares Scripture to purified silver in a furnance to illustrate that the preserved Scripture/words of God are 100% pure/perfect.
βπ» Psalm 12:6 does not refer to Wycliffe, Tyndale, Coverdale, Matthew, Geneva, Bishops, & other English translations that preceded the KJB, since notice the word "as" links "the wordes of the LORD are pure words" to "as siluer tried in a furnance purified seuen times" as a simile.
