Part 2: Thankfully, the KJB, unlike the ASV, keeps 1 John 5:7, and 1 John 5:7 is important for 3 reasons:
π First, 1 John 5:7 is a direct reference to the Godhead
πNext, 1 John 5:7 shows us that the Father, the Word [who is Jesus (John 1:1-2, 14, 17 KJB)], and the Holy Ghost bear record in Heaven.
πFinally, the words "these three are one" indicate that the Father is God, the Word [who is Jesus as per John 1:1-2, 14, 17 KJB] is God, & the Holy Ghost is God.
1 John 5:7 KJBβ
π―π
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
In conclusion, by removing the above bolded words from 1 John 5:7, the ASV:
1) attacks the Godhead
2) removes the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost
3) denies that "these three [which is the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost] are one" (KJB), and thus preventing the ASV reader from knowing that the Father is God, the Word (Jesus - see John 1:1-3, 14, 17 KJB) is God, and the Holy Ghost is God, due to the ASV writers deleting 1 John 5:7 and labeling verse 8 as verse 7 of 1 John 5 from the ASV.
Discard the ASV; get the KJB.
