Part 1: In 1 John 5:7, ASV removes a direct reference to the Godhead & to the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost.

1 John 5:6 KJB
And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1 John 5:7 KJB
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. βœ…πŸ’―πŸ“–
1 John 5:8 KJB
[8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.βœ…πŸ’―πŸ“–

1 John 5:7 ASV
[7] And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

If you look closely, you can see that the ASV not only takes out all of 1 John 5:7, but then the ASV removes verse 7 & labels verse 8 (KJB) as verse 7 (ASV).😰 Rest of information is in Part 2 post below
