Fundamentally, what it comes down to is that "critical text" heretics, when given the choice between majority texts used continually for centuries, copied under strictly pedantic methods, manuscripts that largely agree with one another, or new-found "older" scraps and remnants found in caves or in trash bins, buried and unavailable for centuries, riddled with errors and deviating from the received text, they will always choose the outlier, even if it contradicts clear doctrine.
If it is "older" it is assumed better, and as the viper James White has admitted, if a manuscript was found to be older than all other available copies, he would accept it as correct, even if it denied the very divinity of Christ and the gospel itself.
