Jesus Did Not Lie to His Own Brothers in the KJB. NLT, ESV, & NIV turn Jesus into a liar by claiming he would not go in verse 8 before saying he went to the feast in verse 10. In the KJB, the word "yet" in the 1st part of verse 8 shows Jesus will come to the feast later, matching verses 8 & 10
John 7:8-10 KJB
βΈ..I go not up yet unto this feast;..
ΒΉβ° But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. β
π―π
John 7:8, 10 NLT
..Iβm not going to this festival,..
But after his brothers left for the festival, Jesus also went, though secretly, staying out of public view.βπ°
John 7:8, 10 NIV
..I am not going up to this festival,...β
However, after his brothers had left for the festival, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.βπ°
John 7:8, 10 ESV
..I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come."
But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private.βπ°
