But Jesus said man shall live by every word of God, not short amounts

Shortening God's words = taking away & dimishing words. God said,

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it,..

Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
