Did you know the YLT/Young's "Literal" Translation takes out the words "of God" in 1 John 3:16?
1 John 3:16 KJB
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us:β
π―π
1 John 3:16 YLT
[16] in this we have known the love, because he for us his life did lay down,βπ°
The YLT is not specific about whose love is being talked about in 1 John 3:16 YLT.
But the KJB keeps "of God" to show us that "we percieve the love of God" Himself and not an uncertain, random love, which the YLT promotes in 1 John 3:16.
By removing "of God" in 1 John 3:16, the YLT denies 2 important biblical doctrines:
1. That Christ Jesus is God
2. And that Christ Jesus died/laid down His life for us!
If you have a YLT (Young's "Literal" Translation), discard it and get, read, and believe the KJB and its words instead.
Note: KJB stands for King James Bible.
