(Part 2) In the Prologue, the Complutensian Polyglot editors and writers, including the Polyglot's leader Cardinal Ximenes, said (on the right photo) "that the greatest part of our labor was expended here. We employed men the most outstanding for their knowledge of languages, and we had the most accurate and oldest manuscripts for our base texts. We made the greatest effort to gather from various places a large number of Hebrew as well as Greek and Latin codices. .. With the greatest kindness you sent us the most ancient codices of both the Old and the New Testaments from your Apostolic Library, and these were of the greatest help to us" Complutensian Polyglot, Prologue to the Books of the Old and New Testaments Printed in Their Various Languages (Translated by Olin, 1990, p. 62-63 LINK - see bottom of Page 541 and most of 542 to see the full translation preserved in The Witness of God is Greater)". The words "antiquissimos tum Veteris tum Noui Testameti codices" are crucial here. This is important evidence for 1 John 5:7's authencity, since the editors of the Complutensian Polyglot worked on the multi-language Complutensian Polyglot's New Testament from 1502 to 1514 and its Old Testament from 1502 to 1517, had access to and complied many manuscripts sent from both Spain and from a library in Rome to Spain, said they used "ancient codexes", and had over a decade to check their work, including 1 John 5:7. This provide another proof that 1 John 5:7 is Scripture by showing that Greek copies of 1 John 5:7 did existed from antiquity to the 1500s onward in order for the Complutensian Polyglot writers and translators to have 1 John 5:7 in it and were translated into Latin before eventually being translated into English. 1 John 5:7 is Scripture!
