The picture on the left contains the title page of Cassiodorus' Complexiones. The picture on the right has 1 John 5:7-8 in it. Note 2: Cassiodorus also used Greek texts and Old Latin manuscripts for his writing of Complexiones, which means he did have Greek and Old Latin manuscripts that contained 1 John 5:7 in order for him to quote 1 John 5:7-8 in his Complexiones.
