The gaming projects Catizen, Rocky Rabbit, WatBirds, and Hamster Kombat minted coins on the TON blockchain and listed on exchanges.
It is too early to summarize the technical results: the influx of users is so great that the excitement not only persists, but will probably continue to grow in the coming days.
Hamster Kombat was the first time Mintless Jetton technology was used. It was a success. Notably, most users did not provide their TON wallet address in advance, so only about 10 million of them received coins using this new method. The rest receive coins by picking them up on their own from a special smart contract.
Despite the heavy load, the TON blockchain continued to steadily create blocks and process transactions. At the time of Hamster Kombat's launch, backend failures of some wallets, services and exchanges, including Binance, were observed at first, indicating an unprecedented load on the infrastructure. However, the work of all services was quickly restored.
Let me remind you that these gaming projects have multi-million audiences, and Hamster Kombat airdrop has 131 million users.
TON is the only blockchain that can, in principle, cope with events of this scale.
We'll keep an eye on the situation as it develops. There will be more interesting numbers and statistics next week.
