⚡🇸🇦🇾🇪 Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has extended the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to complete procedures aimed at "verifying the security and readiness of the airport's facilities for operation."
The suspension followed a series of deadly Houthi attacks on the airport. A missile strike on Saturday killed at least 12 people, including a U.S. citizen, and injured 309, making it the deadliest attack in Saudi Arabia in more than a decade, according to GACA. Another attack on Sunday evening caused further injuries. Attacks on King Khalid and Abha airports from Tuesday to Thursday killed six people.
Several international airlines have suspended flights to Riyadh.
