⚡🇺🇦 A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet has been shot down and its pilot, an air wing commander of the Ghost of Kiev 40th tactical aviation brigade has been killed, the country’s Air Force reported.

"Today, on October 1, 2026, another Ukrainian pilot has died in combat," the Air Force said on its Telegram channel.

The MiG-29 fighter jet was shot down and its pilot ejected but did not survive, it specified. Last time, the Ukrainian military reported the loss of a MiG-29 combat aircraft on August 10.
