Volunteers who are denied communication and kept in isolation cells against the law, have been on a hunger strike for 18 days - demanding respect for their legal rights to communication, common rooms, and walking outdoors.

Details became known thanks to the arrival of one of the volunteers' wife at the camp together with a lawyer. They managed to talk to one of the fighters. What became known:

The volunteers are kept in isolation, they are allowed to walk for 15 minutes a day.

During the hunger strike, a representative of the Voznesensk Prosecutor's Office of the Mykolaiv region came to the volunteers with a proposal: they give him a phone, and in return, they write a waiver of claims to the migrant camp.

Due to the hunger strike, the volunteers have health complications, and the camp's warden, Tereshchuk, has forbidden local medics from helping the volunteers.

People who fought for Ukraine, with confirmed injuries - are now being tortured by the camp administration in the face of Tereshchuk. He thus tries to make them sign a waiver of claims against him.

The volunteers were able to send their letters detailing what is happening to them. One of them was published by a representative of the Oirat-Kalmyk National Congress, Vladimir Dovdanov. Volunteers ask journalists to visit the camp where they are held and take interviews from them to restore their rights.

Part of Ukraine demands the immediate restoration of the volunteers' legal rights to communication and the opportunity to breathe fresh air. And the illegal actions and torture against the volunteers by Tereshchuk - must be investigated in accordance with the criminal law of Ukraine
