British startup SiliXon has built an AI tool to help people design electronics without an engineering background.
Co-founder and CEO Mihai Mesteru, an electronics engineer, started the project after seeing how much training professional electronics design software required.
Users describe what they want to build, such as a night light that turns on when it gets dark or a remote control. AI assistant Rocky asks follow-up questions, selects components and draws a circuit diagram. It then arranges the parts on a board and connects them with copper traces. Users can view the design in 3D and ask Rocky to make changes in the chat.
โ The free plan lets users create one public project every two weeks. Pro costs ยฃ14.99 per month and includes unlimited private projects.
๐ The platform is still in early beta. The team recommends checking designs carefully before ordering a board.
