Amazon founder Jeff Bezos said this in an interview. AI could make people so efficient that they can work less without losing income.
"Some people will also decide, you know what? I can support my family by working three days a week," fantasizes Bezos.
๐ฐ Bezos is currently the world's second-richest person after Elon Musk, with Forbes putting his fortune at $377 billion.
He hasn't switched to a three-day schedule himself, though. In 2024, speaking about running his space startup Blue Origin, the billionaire said he is in meetings from 9 to 7 and then works through documents on top of that. Now, besides Blue Origin, he is also building the AI startup Prometheus, which is creating an "AI engineer."
"You can't start a company unless you're willing to work really hard. And not all the work is fun. That's why they call it work," he explained two years ago.
