It's an agent with its own computer and browser that works 24/7 in the cloud. You can message it in ChatGPT, over SMS, Slack, and Teams, or talk to it by voice. In the future, OpenAI promises whole teams of dots.
You can name your dot and assign it all kinds of tasks, from buying plane tickets to multi-day projects. You can connect your work apps (there are more than 4,000) and even give the agent access to your laptop.
Over time, the agent learns your habitsโhow you work, how you make decisions, and what you consider good workโand starts bringing you finished work before you even ask for it.
The agent checks with its owner before taking actions that affect accounts or share data, and leaves password changes and other sensitive tasks to the human.
